sometimes
in the
midnight hours
 
his snores
my only companion
 
i seek out
his
sleeping hand
 
extracting
 from its warmth
 
hope, comfort, safety
 
offerings
 he is unaware
gifting to me..

    I do the same of my husband. I want so much to reach out to him for comfort but also do not want to wake him from his sleep.
